Are you highly sensitive?
Are you perceptive and empathic?
Do you find yourself experiencing a wide range of emotions from great happiness and joy to fear and intense grief? Have you been told throughout your life that you are “too sensitive”? Have you been told that you shouldn't take things so personally? If you answered yes to some or all of these questions, then I say
Good For You!!
Let’s begin to celebrate the wonderful and amazing person that you are!!
You may be thinking right about now, are you kidding? Do you really understand what it is like to be this sensitive? Well, I am not kidding. And yes, I do realize that experiencing life at such deep levels is not always easy. So, what exactly, you might ask, is there to celebrate especially during this important, yet often difficult, time of transition and transformation on the planet? Please allow me to explain… You are the one who feels what others feel. And, because of this, you are the one who can be there for others in such an important and appropriate way. You are the one who will say the right words and do the right thing because you are so aware, because you sense what really is truly best. You are the one who sees the truth in most situations and in the world around you. Therefore, you are the one who can begin to make a difference in both small and large ways. Your good deeds and intentions, your heartfelt sincerity contribute greatly to the collect whole of humanity. You are the one who stands up for injustice because you know what it feels like to be mistreated. You are the one who champions the underdogs because you know what it feels like to be misunderstood and to go it alone. You are the one who is best positioned to help so many others with words of kindness and deeds of valor, because you understand just how noble justice and goodness really are! So, thank you for being so sensitive. Thank you for showing up just as you – compassionate, original, giving and loving. And the next time someone says that you are “too sensitive”, consider taking a moment to educate them. Perhaps, you can share with them something like this...
“I believe it is far better to be as sensitive as I am than to be insensitive to the cares and concerns of those around me. Perhaps the world is better off because of those like us who are truly sensitive to the needs of others.”
Please set aside any doubts or fears about your gift of being sensitive. The world truly is blessed because you feel so deeply and because you care so much. Be gentle with yourself in the days ahead. Allow plenty of time for selfcare. And do feel good about the wonderful person that you are.
I send you the kindest blessings.

Thank you for those beautiful words! Being very sensitive can be difficult at times, to say the least, but learning how to work with this sensitivity is when it really becomes a blessing and a gift.
